Through the years have helped me through strife

At a time where we done suffered a loss

We came together for we knew the cost

But I feel it's the reverse because I cherish you

When I feel I may not have done more

You remind me of what my existence is for

Separated and maybe at times estranged

But a patriarch laid groundwork for us to be arranged
